BUDDING READERS is a local non-profit organization. We have partnered with the Finger Lakes WIC office in Canandaigua for more than 10 years providing free books to children receiving WIC services at the Canandaigua office. Children could receive a new book to take home every time they came into the office for an appointment. The pandemic has made it very difficult to continue this activity.
However, some of you can still receive free books for your children, even though WIC interactions are now being carried out by phone.

If you have a baby 36 months of age or younger AND you live in one of the school district communities below, you can request a free bundle of books for your baby. After you complete the request form, one of our volunteers will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time to deliver your bundle of books.
The eligible school district communities are:
Bloomfield, Canandaigua, Honeoye, Marcus Whitman, Midlakes, Naples, Red Jacket, and Victor.
