Budding Readers - Honeoye

Elizabeth Mosher brought Budding Readers to the Honeoye community in 2009. The Honeoye Program is now coordinated by Rhonda Parrish and Elizabeth Mosher.  Rhonda is a retired teacher from the Rochester School for the Deaf, while Elizabeth is a retired teacher from the Bloomfield School District.

Babies, up to 24 months of age who live in the Honeoye School District, can receive a free bundle of books and our Parent Guide, which contains tips for reading to babies and young children. In addition, age-appropriate books are provided for siblings through age 7.  More than 130 bundles have been delivered in the Honeoye Community.

Families who have received a bundle of books for their babies are also sent a coupon twice a year (up to age 5).
They can bring the coupon to the Honeoye Library or Honeoye Elementary School and select a new free book.

Budding Readers also provides a new book for each entering Kindergarten student at Honeoye Elementary.
